PaperVision3D/Flex2 Carousel v0.2
I've been chatting online to someone who knows more 3D than me (which isn't hard to know more!), and her advice to me was "Maths is your friend".
This is good advice, and I am attempting to learn about the "z" and radians etc...
...but...
in my previous post I put up a version of a Carousel I am working with and the images in the carousel didn't face away from the center correctly.
So I asked on the PV mailing list with the example of the code I was attempting to work this out:
planeArray[i].plane.rotationY = rotationRadians * 180 / Math.PI;

maybe you could create a dummy object in the middle and tell the planes to look at it?
scene.addChild(new DisplayObject3D("center"));
... then with your planes:
var obj:DisplayObject3D = scene.getChildByName ("center");
plane.lookAt(obj);
plane.lookAt(obj);
...but it's alot easier than doing the math ;)

And he is right!
He also provided the FPS meter at in the app.
Thankyou John!
this is what it is like now:
My PaperVision Playing requires Adobe Flash Player 9. Get Adobe Flash..

I have downloaded your carousel and it is very inpressive.
But my question is the following one, is it possible to put several differents images in this carousel.
As for me I would like to be able to load dynamically a array of images and show the result in the carousel
I tried but without result for the moment.
Can you help me please ??
Sincerely
Yann
I hope you will help me.
Bye...
